What This Privacy Statement Covers

This Privacy Policy covers ABS’s treatment of personally identifiable information that NCZ & ABS collects when you are on their websites, and when you use their services. This policy also covers ABS’s treatment of any personally identifiable information that ABS’s business partners share with each other.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that ABS does not own,  control, or to people that ABS does not employ or manage.

Information Collection

When you register as a member of ABS, we ask for several kinds of personal information, such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, occupation, industry, and functional interests. ABS also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, ABS cookie information, and the page you requested. Information About American Building Structures Visitors

In general, we gather information about all of our users collectively, such as what areas users visit most frequently and what services users access the most. We only use such data anonymously and in the aggregate. This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users, and how we can continually create a better overall experience for you. We may share this information with our partners, but only in the aggregate, so that they too may understand how ABS visitors use our site.

Information About You Specifically

In some instances, when you sign up to use a service, respond to an offer, or purchase our service, for example, we may need more specific information about you, such as name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc.  During your visit to ABS, we may also ask you for other information, such as information on your interests, your likes and dislikes regarding the site, the types of construction products and services and any other information you are interested in, etc., in an effort to deliver to you the best possible site experience.

These types of personal information are used solely by ABS, it’s parent company and its sister company and are never sold or given to third parties for any purpose without your explicit approval.

ABS also provides you with the opportunity to opt-out of various types of communications. If you choose to receive these types of communications at the time of registration, but later decide you no longer want to receive them, simply communicate your preferences to our Member Services Team via e-mail.

General Information Disclosure

Except as described in this privacy policy, we do not disclose information about your individual visits to ABS or personal information that you provide, such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, personal references, etc., to any outside parties, except when we believe it is required by law or to protect ABS, it’s parent company or it’s sister company, our users or others. But, we may record and share aggregated information with our partners.

Also, if you input your information on a co-branded registration page, such as that of a ABS and partner company-sponsored services or products, then your information becomes the property of both ABS and the partner co-sponsoring the products or services, as that partner may collect such personal information from you once you leave ABS’s site. In that instance, the use of your personal information by our partner company or sister company will be subject to the privacy policy of that company, and ABS is not responsible for their use of your personal information.

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include hosting our web servers, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing other services. These other companies will have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions, but they may not share that information with any third party.
